Testing Info for Practical Nurse

Directions to Apply for Practical Nurse:

  1. Apply for the Practical Nurse (PN) program through our online application system.
    • Select PN as your first choice and decide if you would like to select a second and/or third choice.
    • Applications should be submitted by the priority deadline in order to be considered for this program.
  2. Register for the TEAS
    • Register here: https://atitesting.com/teas/register
    • Select Mid East as your primary school for your results to be sent for review when registering for your TEAS test.
    • Schedule TEAs test Online via ATI website and determine your desired testing location.
      • Tests may be taken either at home proctored by ATI (TEAs Test Online Proctored by ATI Option) (microphone and webcam required) or In Person Proctored by an Institution.
      • Mid-East (Zanesville Campus) is an option to take your TEAs test, test dates and times are limited. When scheduling your TEAs test, please review all requirements for testing prior to your selection of date and time.
        • The student must select the option "In Person Proctored by an Institution" when scheduling their ATI TEAs test online through ATI. We do not do any official scheduling for the TEAs test.
    • Testing needs to be complete by the priority deadline and the cost is $120. 

Students who wish to be considered for the Practical Nurse program have:

  • Enrolled in or already successfully completed Biology or College Prep Science
  • Successful completion of Algebra 1 or higher
  • An overall GPA (grade point average) of 3.0 or higher
  • Less than 10 days/60 hours of absence for three semesters
  • No credit deficiencies to date/failed courses
  • Applied for the Practical Nurse (PN) program through our online application system and perform successfully on the entrance exam by the priority deadline.
