The Adult Diploma Program provides job training and a new pathway for adults, ages 20 or older, to earn a high school diploma AND industry credentials aligned to one of Ohio’s in-demand jobs. This program combines work-based academics with career technical training.
To succeed in this program, students are required to earn a combined score of 14 on the three ACT WorkKeys assessments. Areas assessed are Graphic Literacy, Mathematics and Workplace Documents. Then students enroll in an Adult Diploma career technical training program.
Current Adult Diploma career technical training programs offered include: State Tested Nursing Assistant(STNA), Construction Labor-NCCER, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), CDL B truck driver training, Microsoft/Excel, and Accounting/Quickbooks.
Each eligible adult works with the staff to create a customized student success plan. Contact the Career and Academic Readiness office at Mid-East Career and Technology Centers by calling 740.454.7242 or 800.250.1242.
