Mid-East Career recently visited kindergarten students at Nashport Elementary for an Ohio Wildlife Exploration Activity. During the visit, students had the opportunity to paint plaster of Paris molds of wild animal tracks.

The tenth annual Employability Expo was recently held at the Buffalo Campus. The purpose of the event was to allow students the opportunity to speak with experienced business people about various aspects regarding employment.

The following students have been named to the Director's List and Honor Roll for the third nine-week grading period on the Zanesville Campus.
Ohioans now have three testing options for earning a certificate of high school equivalence. The Ohio Department of Education approved , and as the official testing companies for adult learners to use to earn the certificate of high school equivalence, generally considered to be the equivalent of a high school diploma. These options can be taken advantage of locally through the Career & Academic Readiness Education (CARE) Program at Mid-East Career and Technology Centers.

Three educators from Mid-East have been recognized by the Department of Environmental Health at the University of Cincinnati. David Mowry, Chris Allen and Brian Wilfong were part of a pilot project to review and recommend the use of an AirBeam device to be used in the academic classroom or out in the field.
