The Mid-East Children’s Learning Center opened in September 1969, as a part of the Early Childhood Education Program at the Mid-East Career and Technology Centers.

The Children’s Center strives to provide an optimal learning environment for each child and Early Childhood Education Career-Tech student. The teaching staff and student teachers of the Children’s Learning Center design their teaching to support the philosophy. Children at Mid-East will be provided educational opportunities daily by teaching staff and student teachers  that stimulate their cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development. The environment supports free, open exploration with hands-on experiences with a balance of structured learning activities.

The Mid East Children’s Center has a two-fold mission:

Providing a stimulating environment where Early Childhood Education students can actively apply skills and grow in early childhood knowledge.

Providing a loving and secure environment for children where they can learn and grow.

The Center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and
Rated as a Five Star Step Up To Quality Program.
