An information-based economy requires many people with the skills to build, install, maintain and repair computers, computer network systems and other electronic equipment. Students in the two-year program gain hands-on experience in operating electronic test equipment, troubleshooting defective circuits and devices and soldering and desoldering components on printed circuit boards. In addition, they become informed about designing, installing and maintaining computer networks. Successful students in this program enjoy the mathematics and science fields.
This program is designed for students who like to see how things work. Students will gain the necessary skills to succeed in today’s high-tech manufacturing industry. Students will be prepared to enter high-skilled areas of robotics, industrial automation or design.
